Our Policy:

The Global Poverty Project (GPP) is very sensitive to online privacy concerns. Websites should have a privacy policy, plain and simple. Every privacy policy should be clear and straightforward about what information a site collects and how it's used. Here is ours:

Collection and use of personal information:

On our site, you can request more information about our goals and programs, commit to an action, download material and interact in other ways. The types of personal information that may be collected on our site include: your name, postal address, email address, telephone number, fax number, and information about your projects.

We do not share or otherwise disclose any personal information, including your name, postal address, telephone number or email address with third parties. However, we will forward your personal details to any organisation that you explicitly state you wish to support. Only the GPP staff have access to personal information provided by visitors to our site. We do not lease, rent, or sell the information we collect. People who affirmatively submit their contact information through The Global Poverty Project site may be contacted from time to time by the GPP staff regarding issues and events only related to the GPP.

Browser information collected on the website:

As with any website operator, the GPP analyses our website logs to constantly improve the value of our website. We use an external service to provide real-time reporting to us of browser accesses to our site. This includes page views, unique views, unique visitors, repeat visitors, frequency of visits, and peak-volume traffic periods. We do not use this service to gather, request, record, require, collect or track any internet users' personal information.

Privacy of our email lists:

The GPP maintains an email list to keep interested parties informed about various activities of the organisation. Individuals must affirmatively request to join our mailing lists. In addition, we do not share the email addresses on our lists with third parties. List server software is configured to refuse to divulge the email addresses of our list subscribers to anyone but authorised the GPP staff, including to other list subscribers. Only the GPP staff have access to personal information provided by visitors to our site, and this information will only be used in relation to issues and events regarding the GPP.
